Michael Lernihan

Michael Lernihan is a retired Garda Superintendent who served for 36 years at various operational and specialist areas within An Garda Síochána. He managed the Bray Garda District from 2006 to 2011. He was Police Commander with the United Nations Police (UNPOL) in 2011/12 in Cyprus.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree, a Certificate in European Security & Defence, an Advanced Management Diploma and an MBA from the Smurfit Business School at UCD.

He is an Independent Panel Expert on Competency Based Interview Boards for various organisations.

Michael’s current volunteering roles include the Board Oversight Committee of Bray Credit Union the Inspection & Enforcement Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland and is Public Relations Officer for the Sugarloaf Lions Club.
